Installation manual for TED41946 bushings in BMW cars (Manual #34)

The TED41946 polyurethane bush is a replacement for the standard metal-rubber bush of the rear lower wishbone in BMW cars. Polyurethane bushings are a more durable alternative to anti-vibration suspension elements, which, due to their characteristics, stiffen the suspension more than rubber bushings. In the case of car suspension tuning or the need to increase the durability of the suspension, the use of polyurethane bushings is a solution that must be considered.

The polyurethane bushing is chamfered on one side, while the other side is evenly finished.

The bushing should be pressed into the original housing, after removing the old bushing and cleaning and lubricating the inside of the socket.

Then we press the bushing with the housing onto the control arm in such a way that the evenly finished element is directed towards the control arm. Remember to pay attention to the correct direction of the housing arm in relation to the control arm, so that both the right and left housing arms point to the protruding part.
