One of the ways to improve the durability of a car suspension is to use polyurethane bushes instead of standard rubber ones. Due to their operating characteristics, polyurethane bushings often differ in design and installation method from standard bushes. An example of this are the rear beam bushings for Ford (Galaxy II, Mondeo IV, S-Max) and Volvo (S60 II, V60 I, V70 III, XC60 I, XC70 II) cars. In this case, the standard one-piece metal-rubber bush is replaced by a 6-piece polyurethane bush consisting of 2 polyurethane parts, 2 metal flanges, inner metal bushing and the metal washer. When installing the bush, the correct order of assembly of the components is important so that the new bush fulfils its task properly.
